Ithaca College Los Angeles Program offers a semester-long internship-based program for junior and senior students with a major or minor in communications. The program provides professional experience in various fields of communication, including cinema, photography, television, radio, new media, corporate communications, advertising, public relations, and print/broadcast journalism. The program accommodates up to 75 students per semester and accepts qualified students from other institutions. Students attend an orientation session before arriving in Los Angeles to receive information on internships, housing, transportation, and academics. Internship placements begin upon arrival in LA, with students given the opportunity to interview and find internships that align with their interests. The program's classrooms and offices are located at the James B. Pendleton Center, close to Burbank and Hollywood. The program also organizes events and outings in the Los Angeles area to provide students with a diverse range of experiences in the city. Applications for upcoming semesters are currently open.
